My journey
I started my working life with BBC News, working at the world-famous Television Centre in London. I was a production assistant, working on all the top news programmes of the day, and went on to become a studio director. I later moved to Norfolk, where I met my husband Mike at the BBC Look East studios in Norwich.
After leaving the BBC to start a family I began my retail career with John Lewis where I was the fashion adviser. That lead to ten years running my own fashion advice consultancy.
But I’d always had nagging desire to work with flowers and so I created a cutting garden at home in Brooke and then began to sell bouquets from a flower cart at the end our our drive.
Finally, in the early summer of 2024 I was offered a unit at Park Farm and in late July I opened The Wild Daisy.
I was delighted to be selected as a finalist in the New Business category of the Broadland and South Norfolk Business Awards.
